Abstract: |
The survivng earthworks appeared to have been subject to various levels of truncation over a period of time. The areas of survival were mainly defined by modern field boundaries. Nevertheless the assessment determined that the medieval settlement was probably located to the east and south-east of St Mary's Church and Hartpury Court. The settlement seemed to have been located on the margin between two areas of land use comprising a water meadow in the west of the study area and ridge and furrow to the north, south and east.[Au(abr)] |
