Abstract: |
No deposits or features of significant archaeological interest were encountered during the course of the groundworks. Pottery sherds, primarily of medieval date, were recovered during fieldwalking of stripped areas. Brick wall footings relating to recently demolished convent buildings were observed in the northeast corner of the site. A linear trench of uncertain date and function was exposed in the area stripped for excavation of the balancing pond. [Au(abr)] |
