Abstract:		 Archaeological excavation and observations were undertaken during the construction of the link road. Archaeological features dating to the medieval period were revealed in the form of a boundary ditch, a large assemblage of late 14th/15th century pottery (one of the best assemblages of that period which had been found in Devon, including imported wares which indicated an international trading element at Seaton), and a possible medieval building with an unknown function. The discovery of Bronze Age pottery during the excavation further attested to the use of the site in the prehistoric period. [AIP]
