Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out in advance of development in the grounds of the former Alexander Pope's garden. The garden is listed in the English Heritage Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. Excavated trenches revealed a garden path, and a collapsed subterranean feature. Both features dated to the 18th century and may have been associated with the grotto beneath Radnor Road. [Au(adp)] |
