Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken at a proposed development site within an Archaeological Priority Zone. Prehistoric and Roman artefacts had been recovered in the surrounding area, and evidence for neolithic, iron age and Roman settlement had been excavated. Industry in the area had been documented since the 13th century. During the evaluation, a prehistoric struck flint and two sherds of 16th century pottery were recovered. No archaeological features were encountered. [AIP] |
