Abstract: |
An assessment was carried out in response to the proposed reinstatement and management of a traditional water meadow irrigation system. The scheme involved restoring existing, silted up, water channels and reconstructing a side sluice. It was recommended that the irrigation system maintain its original pattern and the channels should not be over cut, also that any construction work required should employ local stone and traditional materials.
