Abstract:		 A watching brief on an extension to a school proved that no significant archaeological deposits were suffering damage during the construction of the new building. The two features which were recorded were not easily datable but the absence of any obviously recent material in their fill suggested they were of some antiquity and a medieval date was not ruled out.
