Abstract: |
Two areas of medieval floor tiles were recorded at Langley Chapel. The present building had probably been erected during late Tudor times, but an earlier chapel had existed at Langley. The floor tiles had been re-laid in concrete in the present building, and may have originated from a previous chapel. The tiles were in a generally poor condition, with few retaining recognisable designs. Parts of both areas proved to be inaccessible for recording due to immoveable furniture. [AIP] |
