Abstract: |
A watching brief and excavation were undertaken during topsoil stripping of part of a quarry extension. Very little archaeological evidence was revealed. Two linear features, perhaps associated, and a few small possible pits or tree holes may have dated to the prehistoric period. A number of post holes appeared to be of relatively recent date. Struck flints, of probable Mesolithic or Early Neolithic date were found in the topsoil and in some of the excavated features. [Au(abr)] |
