Abstract: |
<summary>The earliest phase of activity dated from the 13th century. Some of the evidence may well point to a medieval moated complex. A major phase of building seemed to belong to the 16th century and later. The Listed Building on the western edge of the site was once part of a much larger complex of buildings surrounding a yard. At a later date alterations were made, and by the 19th century most of the complex had probably been demolished and other buildings constructed. Preservation of most of the site {italon}in situ{italoff} was agreed upon, with less important areas to be monitored and preserved by record if necessary. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
