Abstract: |
The monitoring revealed a roughly north-south orientated ditch, predating the modern road. A possible Early Bronze Age flint scraper was found, but was not sufficient to accurately date the ditch. The modern road overran an earlier road surface for much of its length. This was possibly Roman, but more likely medieval or post-medieval in date. [Au(adp)] |
