The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 The desktop study concentrated on a site in the south-east area of Avon, within the city boundary of Bristol. The study established the presence of extensive archaeological occupation in the area as far as the Romano-British period if not earlier. The site was surrounded by finds and sites of this period suggesting a considerable probability of further finds and settlements in the area. The rural nature of the site throughout the medieval period may have protected any surviving earlier remains. [AIP]
