Abstract: |
Archaeological observation of groundworks, associated with an extension, revealed two walls and 49 inhumations, all Christian but of several different forms. The footings of the south wall of the south aisle probably displayed three phases of modification, and the other wall appeared to be on the same alignment as the modern church, but its differing construction suggested an earlier church building.
