Abstract:		 An archaeological field evaluation was carried out on a proposed housing development site. The trenching revealed evidence of earlier landscaping on the site. The episode was carried out during the 17th or 18th centuries, where part of a buried soil horizon was sealing the surviving lower levels of a medieval pit. [Au(abr)]
