Abstract:
Three test-pits were excavated at a proposed development site, immediately to the north of an area where archaeological deposits relating to the medieval precinct of the Austin Friars had been recorded. An undated feature was observed in the section of one pit, and a fragment of oyster shell was recovered. It was concluded that no further archaeological investigation would be necessary. [AIP]
