Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of development on the site. The site lay within an Archaeological Priority Area as defined by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in its Unitary Development Plan, the potential archaeology in the area including prehistoric, Roman and early Saxon remains. A few features were cut into the underlying gravels. One, a possible ditch terminal, may have been prehistoric. A posthole was likely to have been post-medieval, and the other features of modern origin. [AIP] |
