Abstract: |
An aerial photography survey was carried out in advance of proposed roadworks. Little evidence was found of prehistoric activity, however this was not thought to be an accurate reflection of the archaeological potential of the area. Late Iron Age to Roman agricultural landscapes were noted south of the River Wharfe, and it was thought likely that these features continued beyond the visible crop and soil marks. The soil character was thought to preclude further evidence. [Au(adp)] |
