Abstract: |
A desk-top study was undertaken in relation to a proposed development site south-east of Amesbury. Large numbers of archaeological sites were located within and adjacent to the proposed development site. Where these could be dated, the majority of sites were prehistoric and comprised either burial mounds or land boundaries of Bronze Age date. An extensive settlement of possible Iron Age date was also known. [Au(adp)] |
