Abstract: |
The watching brief was carried out during an extension to the pump house. The development site lay within the boundaries of the first Battle of Newbury, in 1643. Settlements from other periods were also in the vicinity. However, despite the proximity of the Civil War battlefield and earlier settlement evidence, no fonds or features of archaeological significance were recovered. [Au(adp)] |
