Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained on groundwork adjacent to an area excavated in 2003 where Roman floor surfaces were identified. The mortar floor identified in 2003 was encountered and possible signs of a tessellated floor, seen in 2003, were identified. It was possible the tessellated floor was removed in the Roman period. A medieval robber trench to remove the Roman foundation stone was also recorded. Another five trenches were observed elsewhere at the college. A possible Roman wall was observed. [Au(abr)] |
