Abstract: |
Topographical and geophysical surveys were carried out on earthworks which had been tentatively identified as the remains of the deserted medieval village of Cold Ingleby. Trial trenching then took place. The principle earthworks, and some subsoil cut features were medieval. The excavation and survey results suggested that the earthworks were boundary, watercourse and enclosure features rather than being the site of Cold Ingleby. [Au(abr)] |
