Abstract: |
The test pitting revealed two undated pits (the second contained a small fragment of medieval pottery). A sherd of 16th century green glazed pottery was also recovered. All of the deposits were extensively truncated at the west side of the test pit by a large service trench and in the centre by a large brick built Victorian archway infilled with bituminous concrete.
