Abstract:
The only deposits present in the two trial trenches were 20th century land raising dumps, which extended below the limit of excavation. Boreholes indicated that this modern material continued for more than 3m below that level. It was probable that any potential archaeological remains in the footprint of the development had been truncated by small scale gravel quarrying. [Au]
