Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was undertaken on ground works. The monitoring illustrated that there had been domestic and possibly light industrial activity on the site from the late medieval period onwards. During this time there may have been a change to the position of the property boundary. The ground had been comprehensively disturbed by the digging of pits and cellars since the immediate post-medieval period and there was no evidence of earlier occupation associated with the foundation of the street pattern.
