Abstract: |
The first stage of the archaeological evaluations revealed limited evidence for medieval activity through a pits and gullies. One pit contained a significant quantity of fish bones. The gullies may mark a 14th/15th century development of the properties fronting Queens Road. The development was apparently short lived, the properties were abandoned to cultivation in the late medieval period and most of the boundaries disapeared. [Au(abr)] |
