Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the stripping of overburden at the site which was to be utilised as a new fuel ash storage facility. A sequence of c. 1.5 metres of red-brown inorganic silty clay alluvium was revealed and a single worked flint flake which was part of the natural background scatter common in the surrounding landscape.
