Abstract: |
A light general spread of prehistoric worked flint was recorded across much of the area: the only concentration noted was located 300 metres south-east of Almshoe Bury Farm. Finds of Roman and medieval date were present in quantities too small to indicate the presence of sites of these periods. The relatively large amounts of post-medieval and modern tile collected related to agricultural activities and probable rubbish tipping during the last two hundred years. Taken as a whole, the finds assemblage for the survey area was very small. [Au] |
