Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was conducted in advance of a proposed development. The area was first developed during the later post-medieval period when roads, residential and commercial buildings were constructed on the site. The site was then redeveloped in the 20th century. Borehole and test pit logs suggested that there may have been earlier archaeological deposits that had the potential to still be present within the site. A series of trial trenches were recommended.
