The following report summarises the results of an archaeological watching brief undertaken at the grounds of Whitgift House, 76 Brighton Road, South Croyden with the construction of a block of 6 sheltered flats and one of 8 sheltered flats. A large ditch was observed on the west side and a metalled track on the east side. Both are post-medieval in date. [Au] |
