Abstract: |
Three trenches were excavated. A former plough soil containing post-medieval pottery, was found below the topsoil in two of the trenches. In the third trench, this was absent due to modern disturbance. Two gulleys at right angles to each other and a tree bole were found, filled with this former plough soil, with which they may have been contemporary. They are thought to have been the remains of former field boundaries. No evidence was found for any earlier phases. [Au(adp)] |
