Abstract: |
Excavation and monitoring work during water mains replacement at West Street revealed three new archaeological sites. A late medieval (15th - 16th century) kiln and associated structure and earlier medieval ditches (12th - 15th century) some of which predated the existing landscape pattern. A ditch and spread of 13th-14th century pottery and a late medieval/early post-medieval house was also revealed. [Au] |
