Two trenches were excavated to evaluate a site in advance of its redevelopment as two new residences. Three ditches and two pits were encountered and 12th-13th century pottery was retrieved from them all. Other artefacts discovered included animal and fish bones, shell, tile, and metalwork, slag and a chalk spindle whorl. [Au(abr)]
