Abstract: |
A total of 15 trenches were mechanically excavated at the site. One archaeological feature was encountered, a shallow/truncated ditch of Romano-British date containing animal bone, roof and box-flue tile and a small amount of 2nd to 3rd century pottery including Samian ware. The nature of the assemblage suggested the presence of a substantial Roman building in the vicinity. [Au] |
