Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of an aggregate extraction quarry. Prehistoric and Roman finds had been recorded in the surrounding area. A total of 44 trenches and 13 sondages were excavated, but no significant archaeological evidence was revealed. Possible worked flints and medieval and post-medieval pottery were found. It was recommended that a watching brief should take place during aggregate extraction. [Au(abr)] |
