Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment was carried out on the route of the proposed pipeline. The assessment identified that the groundworks for the pipeline would impact upon archaeology. The pipeline follows part of the route of the Roman Road 'Ermine Street'. The pipeline would also go through the Roman settlement of Ancaster and although the pipeline would follow the route of an earlier pipeline, access pits would impact archaeology. [Au(abr)] |
