Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation covering an open area measuring 38m by 48m was undertaken in advance of proposed residential development of the site. The excavation was located where earlier evaluation trenches had revealed cut features of a medieval date. The excavation revealed a north-south ditch adjacent to a series of post holes, beam slots and a pit representing a previously unknown farmstead dating to the mid 13th century. [Au(abr)] |
