Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of an office block. Neolithic axes and iron age pottery had been found in the surrounding area, and Roman activity had been noted. The site itself had been built on since the 17th century. During the evaluation, Roman and medieval pottery, medieval quarry pits and post-medieval features were found. The latter included ditches, post holes, metalled surfaces, and pits containing evidence of copperworking. [AIP] |
