Abstract: |
<summary>A preliminary identification of the archaeological and historical potential of the landscape was made. Aerial photographic evidence indicated that the road scheme would potentially affect a varied range of crop mark sites. Documentary prospection for new sites clarified the nature of the medieval and post-medieval development of the landscape. A planned second phase of field investigation should clarify and shed light on questions raised in this report. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
