Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring and limited excavation was undertaken at the site. In the north-east side of the site, Roman remains, comprising of a rough metalled surface with parts of a timber structure, and a large 3rd-4th century pit, we recorded. In the south-west a large mid 2nd century pit and small cut features were noted. Two medieval pits and pits and a well dating to the 17th and 18th centuries were also identified. [Au(abr)] |
