Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on the site of a former natural basin used as a harbour from the Roman period onwards. A series of alluvial silt deposits from the Roman period was identified. Wharf surfaces or hardstandings of limestone and sandstone fragments and lager cobbles for a collapsed Roman wall were also identified. [Au(abr)] |
