Abstract: |
Excavation of three test pits in the churchyard of Chelmsford Cathedral identified disturbed post-medieval graveyard soils. Sections of the foundations for the chapter house and north aisle of the cathedral were exposed in one pit. The presence of articulated skeletons and loose charnel was noted and the remains collected for later reinterment. [Au] |
