Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment of Goldingtons was undertaken in advance of the landscaping and the construction of a tennis court and covered swimming pool across the site. The medieval manor of Goldingtons dated from at least the 13th century, and was the principal manor in Sarratt. The present house of Goldingtons had 16th-century origins, but dated largely from the 18th and 19th centuries. In the vicinity of the house, a possible Roman cemetery was identified in the churchyard to the north. [Au] |
