Abstract: |
A geophysical (fluxgate gradiometer) survey, covering 3 hectares was carried out on land south of Germany Beck, Fulford, where it was proposed to construct a flood channel. Several weak, discontinuous linear anomalies on varying alignments were identified as well as four discrete area of magnetic enhancement. These anomalies could have been caused by infilled archaeological features but without supporting information, a definitive interpretation could not be given. It was not clear whether the location of any of these anomalies corresponds with known crop marks. [Au(abr)] |
