Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on groundworks for an extension to house a CT scanner. Modern rubble and clay deposits associated with the building of the hospital were revealed, sealing an undulating horizon of dark grey clay, which formed the original surface of the boulder clay. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were recorded and the only artefacts noted on the site were of 20th century date. [Au(abr)] |
