Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed a sequence of medieval and possibly late Saxon activity against the north wall of the nave. This comprised the insertion of three graves into a buried medieval soil horizon sometime in the 12th to 13th centuries and possibly two phases of construction for buttresses in the 14th and possibly 15th centuries. Sherds of late Saxon pottery were recovered suggesting activity of that period in the vicinity. [Au(abr)] |
