Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on the site. Residual Roman finds were recovered suggesting a Roman presence within the proposed development area. Medieval ditches and pits representing a prolonged period of occupation were identified. Late 19th century cellars were also identified and may have truncated some of the earlier archaeology.
