Abstract: |
<summary>A topographical survey was undertaken of this Scheduled Ancient Monument (SAM 136), a substantial curvilinear earthwork enclosure of unknown date, to assist in management and presentation of the monument. The survey emphasised that the builders of the monument had made full use of the natural contours, and small mounds and depressions of unknown origin within the enclosure area were highlighted. Two possible unauthorised excavations, one of fairly recent occurrence, were identified. An "outwork" was also noted to the west of the monument. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
