Abstract: |
This assessment was produced as a supplement to the Environmental Statement on the proposed Picton-Shipton Overhead Transmission line and deals with the route of the second stage of the reinforcing of the existing grid system in north-east England.\nThe report considers the archaeological implications of the three proposed routes. The majority of features revealed were ridge and furrow and field sytems, with several deserted medieval villages and a possible ring ditch also being located. |
