Abstract: |
The assessment identified that Bilson Gas works was opened in 1860 on the site, later to become the Cinderford Gas Company Ltd (1907). Remains of the early gas works survived on the site, comprising part of the Cannop Foundry. No evidence was uncovered for any earlier activity on site. The assessment recommended an archaeological recording programme. [Au(adp)] |
