Abstract: |
<summary>A fourth season of excavation uncovered a total of 43 new burials at this Anglo-Saxon cemetery. Skeletal material was generally in good condition, and a rich range of artefacts dating from the 6th and 7th centuries AD was recovered. Notable were two rare bed burials of young women. Organic preservation was poor, but some fabric survived, whilst replaced textile, leather and wood were found on metal artefacts. Iron Age features were also excavated.
